The Asset Management (AM) Events Team partners with the AM Business to deliver consistent, high-caliber, high-touch client events which focus on net-new client acquisition, increasing flows, and building stronger client relationships while building our brand.
As the Asset Management Americas Events Associate you will partner with Asset Management Event Planners, marketing, client and product teams to assist with the planning and delivery of events from concept to delivery. In addition, you will work on multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from large complex events to smaller more intimate roundtables, and priority projects. You will be responsible for logistics, communications, agenda management, on-site management, follow-up, and measurement.

As the Asset Management Americas Events Associate you will partner with Asset Management Event Planners, marketing, client and product teams to assist with the planning and delivery of events from concept to delivery. In addition, you will work on multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from large complex events to smaller more intimate roundtables, and priority projects. You will be responsible for logistics, communications, agenda management, on-site management, follow-up, and measurement.
Job responsibilities:
- Deliver J.P. Morgan event standards at every event
- Produce name badges, table tents and event collateral and process invoices and reconcile monthly Purchasing-card expenses (shared with other team members)
- Order promotional items or event-specific supplies for events and ship materials to/from events; supply box coordination for locations
- Partner with lead event manager to build registration website, communications, and conference app on events platform
- Manage attendee communications, requests, travel manifests and hotel bookings
- Coordinate with external partners on logistical requirements including attendee travel, ground transportation, accommodations, venue setup and food & beverage requirements, audio visual requirements, and security
- Manage agenda: Act as central point for session coordination
- Work with speakers (Investment specialists, PMs, Market Strategists, Product Strategists) to schedule meetings and manage content development
- Proof and reconcile hotel rooming lists, travel reports, attendee lists
- Partner with Creative Services team on production of event materials
- Coordinate and support onsite event execution
- Assist with ad hoc team initiatives and projects
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 3+ years of events experience
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), general comfort level with Internet/Intranet usage and ability to learn proprietary software
- Strong interpersonal skills - able to work well with clients, colleagues and vendors
- Accuracy and delivery - able to manage very detailed processes with accuracy and attention to detail; able to develop credibility and trust through consistent high-quality execution
- Calm and resourceful - good judgment and problem solving skills, able to troubleshoot and multi-task in high pressure situations
- Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills and sound communication skills and work ethic
- Knowledgeable of event logistical and production elements
- Confidence and maturity to effectively represent events to the business, external clients and partners
- Good team player willing and able to contribute to, co-operate with, and support others in the achievement of shared goals
- Able to communicate well in order to win confidence of peers and senior managers
- Ambitious, self-motivated and action-orientated. Always looking to improve and increase the client event experience
- Positive approach with a passion for delivering high-quality events
