What to Expect

We’re looking for a dynamic and technically fluent AI Specialist to join Zoom’s growing AI Specialist team. In this role, you’ll champion our AI solutions—especially Custom AI Companion, Conversational Intelligence, and AI Studio—by turning powerful technology into customer impact. You’ll partner closely with field sales to run demos, co-create account-specific strategies, and help enterprise customers unlock the full potential of Zoom’s AI portfolio.

This is a quota-based overlay role that blends technical product evangelism with sales enablement and go-to-market execution. You’ll help Zoom differentiate in a crowded market by being the connective tissue between our AI product innovation and customer value realization.

About the Team

Zoom’s AI Specialist team is built like a startup inside the company—fast-moving, collaborative, and laser-focused on customer outcomes. We partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, Solutions Engineers and Customer Success to bring clarity to what AI can do today (and where it’s going tomorrow).

This role is for someone who’s not just AI-fluent, but AI-experienced—comfortable talking to CIOs, demoing live use cases, and guiding our internal teams on how to close with confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Adoption of Custom AI Companion: Partner with field teams to help prospects understand how Zoom’s agentic AI framework powers deeper productivity, especially in IT, CX, and enterprise workflows.

  • Run High-Impact Demos: Deliver technical demos showcasing real-time integrations across third-party tools (e.g., Salesforce, Jira, ServiceNow) and Zoom-native AI features.

  • Create Customer-Ready Content: Develop pitch decks, objection handling guides, and verticalized AI messaging with a strong focus on outcomes.

  • Evangelize AI Strategy: Serve as a subject matter expert for Zoom’s AI capabilities, including our RAG-based search and AI Studio workflows, across internal enablement and customer briefings.

  • Feedback Loop to Product: Meet regularly with the AI Product team to share feedback from the field and shape future feature sets and roadmap priorities.

  • Workshop + Field Engagements: Host workshops and presentations with enterprise IT, CX, and operations leaders to activate interest in Zoom’s AI capabilities.

  • Quota-Tied Influence: Contribute to qualified pipeline and bookings in partnership with AEs through strategic plays and consultative support.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years in GenAI / LLM-based solutions, ideally with experience deploying or selling AI in an enterprise setting.

  • Background in UCaaS, CCaaS, or CX technologies—you’ve worked in or around IT transformation, contact centers, or collaboration stacks.

  • Startup-level adaptability—you like rolling up your sleeves, learning fast, and iterating as we scale.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills—especially when translating technical features into customer wins.

  • Experience with tools like Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Glean, or enterprise knowledge platforms is a plus.

  • Comfort with APIs, RAG, SLMs/LLMs, and how AI gets wired into actual workflows.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
