Location: Mexico (Remote)

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience building and deploying production systems.
  • Hands-on experience working with LLMs and modern AI/agentic architectures, including prompting, evaluation, retrieval, tool use, and orchestration.
  • Proven experience working directly with customers or internal stakeholders to define ambiguous problems and deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Strong full-stack engineering capabilities, with experience across backend systems, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines.
  • Experience designing and building scalable, production-grade AI-powered applications.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud technologies, APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and workshops with both engineering teams and business stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership and problem-solving skills, with a bias toward action and iterative delivery.
  • Comfortable working independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Field Engineering within an enterprise software or AI company.
  • Experience deploying AI solutions in regulated or complex enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with security reviews, data governance, and legacy system integrations.
  • Experience with AI evaluation frameworks, vector databases, RAG, or AI orchestration platforms.
  • Proven experience providing product feedback that directly influenced product or engineering roadmaps.

Job duties:

  • Work directly with customers as a technical owner to understand their data, workflows, systems, and business requirements.
  • Design and build production-grade AI applications, integrations, pipelines, and workflows that connect Nexaminds' AI/LLM capabilities with customer systems.
  • Rapidly prototype AI solutions with customers, gather feedback, and transform successful prototypes into reliable production systems.
  • Integrate LLMs, AI agents, retrieval systems, tools, and orchestration workflows into customer environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across AI models, infrastructure, integrations, and customer-specific systems.
  • Lead technical workshops and architecture discussions with customer engineering and technical leadership.
  • Establish reusable technical patterns, components, and best practices across multiple customer deployments.
  • Act as the technical voice of the customer internally, translating field learnings into actionable feedback for Product and Engineering.
  • Partner with Product, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to ensure successful customer deployments.
  • Mentor other forward-deployed and customer-facing engineers and help raise technical standards across the team.
  • Support customer go-live milestones and travel to customer sites when required.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent β€” not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
