Description
The Role

We’re looking for a sharp, creative, and execution-minded Marketing Content Manager who uses AI tools not just as a helper, but as a creative accelerator. You’ll own the end-to-end creation and distribution of compelling marketing content that drives inbound awareness, thought leadership, and deal flow. You’ll partner closely with marketing, sales and leadership to tell the stories of our work, our clients, and our thinking. You will set and achieve targets for engagement and growth.

You should be fluent in modern content strategy, understand B2B buyer psychology, and be comfortable producing high-quality content across formats — web, email, LinkedIn, case studies, and thought pieces — with AI as a multiplier, not a shortcut.

What You’ll Own

  • Plan, write, and publish high-impact content across channels (email, blog, web, LinkedIn, X, Medium, case studies).
  • Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Jasper, Notion AI, etc.) to enhance ideation, drafting, editing, and personalization.
  • Own the content calendar and coordinate with leadership on strategic priorities.
  • Repurpose internal work, insights, and case studies into concise, engaging stories that speak to our audience.
  • Collaborate with design to produce visual content when needed (memes, decks, thumbnails, etc.).
  • Help shape and evolve our brand voice and positioning across external touchpoints.
  • Track and report on performance (CTR, engagement, audience growth, SEO if relevant), and iterate fast.
Requirements
  • 4+ years in B2B marketing, content strategy, or editorial roles (agency, startup, or consultancy a strong plus).
  • Fluent in AI-powered writing and research workflows — ideally someone who already uses tools like GPT, Perplexity, GrammarlyGO, Jasper, etc.
  • A sharp writer with a strategic brain — you can connect Future Works’ positioning to meaningful, engaging content.
  • Strong sense of ownership — you know how to move from idea to live asset quickly.
  • Deep empathy for B2B buyers and what makes content land with decision-makers.
  • Experience in tech, professional services, or digital transformation is ideal.
  • Bonus: SEO chops, lightweight design or video skills, experience working with founders or senior execs.
Benefits
  • Fully Remote – Work from anywhere
  • Freelance/Contract – Flexible engagement model
  • Flexible Hours / Time Zone – Work on your schedule
  • Company Retreats – Optional, but fun

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
