About Us

Wolf Games is a global team of creatives and technologists pioneering generative gaming and delivering players unprecedented control. We're building the platform for generative entertainment universes—living, ever-expanding worlds where creators, players, and AI collaborate in real time. Our first universe, Public Eye, turns everyone into a detective. Across a suite of AI-driven crime-solving games, players collect evidence, crack cases, and rise through the ranks of a connected detective program.

We're fast-moving and scrappy, blending storytelling, gameplay, and AI to redefine interactive storytelling and create experiences that couldn't exist in any other era. Our culture is built on small wins that lead to big wins, respect for our craft, and persistence when things get tough.

About the Role

We're seeking an AI Content Writer & Editor to join our Creative Team and help create, review, and ship content across Wolf Games' mobile titles. This hands-on role combines original writing, generative AI content development, editorial quality assurance, and content coordination to deliver compelling, high-quality player experiences.

The ideal candidate is an experienced writer or editor with strong creative judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and demonstrated proficiency with generative AI tools. You'll collaborate with Creative, Game Design, Art, Engineering, and partner teams to deliver content that is on-brand, consistent, and on schedule.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop original characters with distinct personalities and voices, and write the dialogue, narrative, and in-game copy that bring them to life across multiple titles
  • Generate daily game content for our media and publishing partners using our generative AI content frameworks
  • Leverage generative AI tools and established content workflows to produce compelling, consistent, high-quality narrative content at scale, applying strong editorial judgment to AI-generated outputs
  • Write for a range of media and publishing partners, adapting tone, style, and subject matter to each brand's voice, audience, and editorial guidelines
  • Review and playtest content before release, identifying issues with narrative consistency, factual accuracy, visual presentation, user experience, and functionality, and coordinating with relevant teams to resolve them
  • Schedule content and track it from generation through review to release, maintaining a healthy content runway per partner and flagging gaps, quality risks, and schedule slips early
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of professional experience in creative writing, content development, editorial, narrative design, or related fields, ideally within gaming, interactive entertainment, or digital media
  • Strong creative taste and judgment across writing, visuals, and interactive experiences, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to articulate and maintain quality standards
  • Demonstrated experience using generative AI tools to develop, iterate on, and refine creative content, including prompt development, output evaluation, and editorial quality control
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables, deadlines, and content pipelines
  • Excellent written communication and comfort working independently and asynchronously
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience writing for games, brands, publishers, or licensed IP
  • Experience operating in startup or small-team environments
  • Background in editorial, publishing, or media
  • Experience producing content for live or recurring game releases
  • Familiarity with casual and puzzle game design
  • QA or playtesting experience on mobile titles
Additional Information
  • Target Start Date: ASAP
  • Compensation: $30-35 USD / hour
  • Contract to hire: Expected 40 hours per week for initial contract, with intention to convert to full-time pending mutual fit after 90 days
  • Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to the Content Manager.
  • Location: This role is fully remote and open to candidates based in North, Central, or South American time zones.
  • Equal Opportunity Employer: Wolf Games is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
