“I can succeed as an AI Change Senior Manager at Capital Group”

The AI Change Senior Manager is responsible for translating enterprise AI change strategy into coherent behavior-based activation plans and executing them. This role ensures that plans reinforce the same direction of change across leadership behaviors, incentives, communications, and operating rhythms.

This role exists to make the AI change system work day-to-day: preventing fragmentation, monitoring how activities are landing across the organization, and applying judgment to sequencing and emphasis, so AI and data change efforts move faster together than they would independently. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Enterprise AI & Data Change.

 Key Responsibilities

Change activation & coherence

  • Own the activation layer of the enterprise AI change system, ensuring strategy is translated into clear, coordinated actions via campaigns and activation plans.
  • Proactively identify and resolve overlaps, gaps, and fragmentation across AI, DxP, incentives, and communications.
  • Apply judgment to sequencing, emphasis, and tone to ensure initiatives reinforce a consistent direction of change.
  • Partner with extended change and communications contractor team to execute.

Monitoring & course correction

  • Monitor adoption, engagement, and sentiment signals (qualitative and quantitative) to understand how change is landing.
  • Identify patterns, risks, resistance, and fatigue early and recommend adjustments to activation plans.
  • Synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.

Integration & partnership

  • Coordinate inputs from HR, Global Communications, DxP, ECO, and AIxP workstreams into a single, coherent activation approach.
  • Resolve issues, overlaps, gaps, and dependencies independently where possible; escalate with clear options and tradeoffs when needed.
  • Act as a connective tissue across teams without adding process or friction.

Leadership enablement

  • Prepare materials, framing, and follow-through for senior leadership working sessions.
  • Serve as an active contributor in senior leadership working sessions, bringing perspective, synthesis, and recommendations – with scope and visibility expanding over time.
  • Enable leaders to show up consistently and credibly by providing clarity, context, and decision support.

“I am the person Capital Group is looking for.”

Qualifications & Skills

  • You bring 10+ years of experience partnering with C-level leaders, founders, and executives to shape and amplify strategic narratives while navigating internal alignment and constraints.
  • You read the room in complex, matrixed environments—aligning stakeholders with competing incentives, anticipating resistance, and sequencing actions for maximum pull.
  • You simplify complexity and connect the dots across initiatives to drive clarity and coherence.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
  • You have experience in high-growth or startup environments (0→1 or 1→n), ideally in data, AI, or emerging tech, and are comfortable building while executing.
  • You are a continuous learner and engage in the AI/data space beyond your core role (e.g., conferences, speaking, writing, mentoring, or community involvement), bringing fresh perspectives to your work.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree is a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
