Our purpose is to help our customers grow their businesses and delight their customers. Join us and be a part of a forward-thinking company that values growth, excellence, and the success of our clients.

The AI Enablement team works with the business units within the Solutions Portfolio to support Fullsteam's effort to become AI native and scale its agentic operating system. The team was formed to replicate, at speed, the operating model that has already worked to streamline operational workflows and use the agentic operating system to rewrite, modernize, and transform legacy systems, providing the ability to rapidly innovate and scale.

The Agentic Operations Engineer is a multidisciplinary business operator, not a software engineer, data scientist, or project manager, who treats AI as leverage against real operational problems. This person embeds within a business unit, identifies the highest-leverage problems using domain fluency in finance, operations, support, or engineering, and builds working AI solutions on the agentic operating system that prove their value through demonstration rather than proposals. The role is accountable for shipping fast, documenting compulsively so others (including AI agents) can act on that knowledge, and driving adoption across a skeptical, resource-constrained environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Identify the highest-leverage business problems within an assigned business unit (P&L lines, operational bottlenecks, customer pain points)
  • Build and ship working AI solutions on the agentic operating system against those problems, prototyping fast rather than proposing and waiting for permission
  • Encode BU domain knowledge into structured skills and context files precise enough for an AI agent or new hire to act on autonomously
  • Drive adoption by demonstration — evangelizing working demos to skeptical stakeholders rather than pitching theory
  • Change positions based on evidence (data, usage, logs), including publishing unflattering results
  • Operate with resilience under resistance, absorbing skepticism and turf issues while maintaining momentum
  • Deliver measurable before-and-after outcomes from a personally-led transformation

Skills & Competencies:
  • Domain fluency in at least one of: finance, operations, customer support, or engineering
  • Daily, hands-on use of AI as an operator — able to demonstrate live agents, automations, or skills libraries in production
  • Ability to cross disciplines without waiting for permission (e.g., a finance professional who codes, a support lead who builds their own tooling)
  • Strong written communication; able to produce specs and context documents that stand alone without the author present
  • High learning velocity — able to pick up new domains in days, not quarters
  • Comfort operating at pace under ambiguity, without stalling for perfect information
  • Evidence-driven decision-making; willingness to question and challenge process for the sake of speed and truth

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated personal experience transforming a process, department, or product, with measurable before-and-after results.
  • Proven, current, hands-on experience using AI tools and agents in a production or business context, with demonstrated practical application rather than theoretical or credential-based knowledge.
  • 1–3 years of software development or programming experience, with the ability to build, test, and implement practical solutions.
  • 3+ years of operational experience, with a track record of improving business processes, driving execution, and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Experience operating across business, technology, and people disciplines rather than working exclusively within a single functional area.
  • Track record of shipping early-stage, functional solutions and iterating based on feedback, rather than waiting for a fully polished product.
  • Comfort embedding within an operating business unit, working autonomously with minimal day-to-day supervision to identify opportunities and deliver results.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative or technical field.

Salary range: $130,000–$150,000 USD

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
