Job Purpose: 
 

This position will be a direct resource for Advisor Managers and is an internal expert of CBSI Sales. Serving as a primary or secondary contact to assigned advisors, this position executes sales coaching and brings actionable activities and sales ideas to advisors in order to achieve sales goals. In addition, this position is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements that will impact a credit union’s ease of doing business with TruStage and will improve an advisor’s ability to grow their practice and increase GDC. The Advisor Support Specialist will need to be skilled at evaluating an advisor’s practice, understand industry trends and have knowledge of products that will bring growth opportunities to the advisor and their teams.

Job Responsibilities: 
 

  • Accountable to support Advisor Manager and provide a high-quality advisor experience
  • Supports multiple Advisor Manager territories
  • Strong connection to coordinators/support staff to ensure operational efficiency and execution of program's marketing plan activities.
  • Active participation in Advisor Manager and Regional Program Manager led program marketing consultations
  • Support Advisor Manager and needs of Advisor Team including but not limited to:
    • Work with Advisor Managers on specific needs of advisor(s)
    • Facilitate onboarding of new advisors with internal stakeholders
    • Provide activity coaching and support to all levels of advisors in order to ensure alignment with the CBSI sales process.
    • Performance coaching to subset of advisors
  • Marketing Plan execution follow up and sharing best practices
  • Conduct book of business reviews in order to uncover potential sales opportunities
  • Create sales ideas and bring to field for implementation across all territories

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Prior experience working in a broker/dealer environment strongly preferred.
  • Previous financial services sales experience preferred with basic knowledge of securities products and sales techniques.
  • FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination, Series 7 Registration required or ability to obtain within 90 days. Series 63/65 or 66 Registrations and Life and Variable license preferred.
  • Knowledge of the credit union business, financial services industry, and market
  • In-depth understanding of a financial advisor’s business and ability to assess their practice
  • Proven ability to work effectively with field staff via diverse communication methods.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with conflict and ability to motivate and coordinate groups of functional staff across multiple support areas.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks from various sources and manage projects to successful completion.
  • Proven effectiveness to lead and influence without authority to various groups of stakeholders such as advisors, field support staff, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel minimum of 15% of time.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$81,500.00 - $122,300.00
