Labcorp is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Torrance, CA.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday. 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
Job Responsibilities
Site Operations, Front Desk & Visits
- Serve as the primary front desk coordinator for the Los Angeles laboratory in Torrance, CA during business hours.
- Greet and assist internal and external guests in a professional, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Manage visitor check-in, badges, parking, host notifications, and reception-area readiness in accordance with site security and safety requirements.
- Coordinate site visits, tours, audits, and onsite meetings for clients, leadership visitors, companion diagnostics teams, project management teams, business development teams, and other guests.
- Arrange conference rooms, agendas, materials, catering, A/V, and other visit logistics to ensure a well-organized onsite experience.
Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Laboratory Director, including calendar management, meeting coordination, correspondence, and follow-up on action items.
- Schedule internal and external meetings, resolve conflicts, and prepare routine meeting materials, presentations, reports, and minutes as needed.
- Maintain confidential files, records, contact lists, shared calendars, and routine administrative documentation.
- Support onboarding logistics, distribution lists, org charts, and general site communications.
Travel, Expenses & Office Coordination
- Arrange compliant travel and detailed itineraries; support changes and troubleshooting as needed.
- Prepare and submit accurate, timely expense reports with required receipts and documentation.
- Coordinate supplies, mail, shipments, and facilities, security, or IT requests for the front desk and office areas and follow through to resolution.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Two years of experience in an administrative assistant, office coordinator, receptionist, or similar role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Five years of administrative assistant experience
Additional Job Standards
- Experience managing a front desk or reception area in a professional environment.
- Experience coordinating customer visits, audits, executive visits, interviews, or site tours
- Experience supporting a laboratory director, site leader, or senior manager with calendars, meetings, travel, and expenses.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; comfortable using Teams, SharePoint, and video conferencing tools.
- Experience in healthcare, laboratory, scientific, or other regulated/professional environments is desirable.

Pay Range: $21-$33.08
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
