At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

We are seeking a sharp, curious Administrative Assistant based in Los Angeles to support the Animation Series and Kids & Family TV Business & Legal Affairs teams. You’ll provide primary support to two senior leaders and secondary support to their teams, and you’ll work closely with cross-functional partners across the business, staying semi-embedded in their workflow and in the day-to-day of the deals and projects moving through the group.

The ideal candidate is proactive, highly responsive, and an exceptional communicator who anticipates team needs and drives initiatives forward. We are looking for a detail-oriented problem-solver eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment and leverage modern workplace tools, including AI to optimize team workflows.

What you’ll do

  • Provide administrative support to two senior leaders and their reports.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners and stay close to their workflows so you can support the team in context.
  • Maintain and update trackers as new deals come in, keeping status, owners, and next steps accurate.
  • Support deal logistics, including routing documents in Docusign and completing and reviewing certificate agreements.
  • Coordinate travel,  and process expense reports accurately and on time.
  • Prepare agendas and materials for team meetings, and circulate memos and action items.
  • Use AI tools to find efficiencies, own routine automation, and help improve how the team works.
  • Help with team events, onboarding of new team members, and special projects as they arise.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with complete discretion.

What you bring

  • Administrative, executive assistant, or legal secretary experience in a law firm, legal department, entertainment company or business affairs setting.
  • Detail orientation and a high standard of accuracy, including in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to build rapport quickly with colleagues at all levels.
  • Responsiveness and agility. You adapt quickly, prioritize well, and are comfortable with shifting priorities.
  • Independence and sound judgment. You know what to handle yourself, when to escalate, and how to find another way when the first plan falls through.
  • Strong follow-through. You own your work, track open items, and close the loop without prompting.
  • Proven discretion and professionalism.
  • Curiosity and a growth mindset, with genuine interest in the entertainment industry, animation, or the legal field.
  • Comfort using AI tools to work more efficiently, with good judgment about what information is appropriate to share and a habit of reviewing outputs before relying on them.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Docusign, Airtable or similar tools in a business environment.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
