The Senior Accounting Systems Administrator oversees corporate accounting systems and connections, notably the ERP and General Ledger solution, used to maintain accounting operations that are pivotal to the organization’s ability to generate timely and accurate financial results. This role supports the accounting close, financial reporting, system integrations, and accounting optimizations and transformations.


  • Administer the corporate accounting ERP, Microsoft Dynamics D365 Finance & Operations, including but not limited to maintaining user access roles & permissions, training subledger leads, monitoring and leading system outage identification & resolutions, monitoring and adopting system updates, coordinating system upgrades or expansions, supporting system users with questions or errors, and acting as the subject matter expert for the ERP and any related subledgers or modules. This includes all data connections or feeds in or out of the ERP and any reporting (report writing and data extraction) from the ERP. (50%)
  • Oversee outside consultants working on the ERP including providing directives, coordinating project timing, and monitoring spending (5%)
  • Support non-ERP accounting systems and key data integrations (e.g., timekeeping, payroll, expense management, sales tax, close optimization, etc.) (20%)
  • Actively lead and participate in automation or transformation initiatives involving systems. This includes researching new technologies and providing recommendations and strategy for technology processes and solutions in plain language. (10%)
  • Manage, coach, and develop staff (5%)
  • Support operations teams, as needed, on matters that cross over into accounting systems (5%)
  • Document policies, processes, system changes, access review, and any other system-related documentation (5%)
  • Work cross-functionally with leadership and key stakeholders such as Accounting, Finance, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Account Management
  • Assist the broader team goal in achieving timely preparation of supportable and accurate financial statement records

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or accounting information systems
• Minimum of 5 years being an administrator of a mid- to large-size enterprise ERP
• High degree of proficiency working with technology including evolving technology
• Experience with advanced tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Agentic AI, or other similar automation or data analytics tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience communicating with leadership and translating technical concepts to non-technical personnel
• Familiarity with month-end close, journal entries, financial reporting, financial statements, internal controls, and subledgers


Preferred:
• System admin experience specifically with Microsoft Dynamics D365 Finance & Operations
• Microsoft automation suite including Power Automate and Power BI.
• Experience administering other non-ERP accounting systems
• Minimum of 1 year of people leadership experience
• Experience with process improvements and accounting transformations
• Passionate about mentoring and developing staff
• Ability to motivate others and meet deadlines
• Successful working in a global and multi-site organization
• High integrity and standards for quality of work
• Excellent organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to work independently and with accountability


The base salary range for this position is from $110,000-$140,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
