Our client, a privately owned architecture firm is looking for an accounting manager located in Los Angeles.
Job Description- Responsible for managing the general and project related accounting function and supervision of accounting professionals.
- Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM) regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing.
- Enters and maintains all project information in the accounting software.
- Support monthly billing cycle for multiple offices and multiple PMs.
- Prepare final invoice packages, including all applicable backup in an accurate and timely manner.
- Understand Revenue Recognition, the various methods that are used and ramifications of each type.
- Review AR statements and monitor collections.
- Research and summarize any unbilled issues to optimize the billing possibilities for the billing period.
- Maintain the electronic billing folders for all projects, in accordance with standard procedures.
- Develop relationships with client and consultant accounting departments to insure accurate billings and prompt payment of our invoices, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Communicate with accounts payables team regarding client billing relative to consultant invoicing and reimbursable expenses.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; supervisory experience required
BA REQUIRED
Industry experience required: engineering, construction, or architecture
Solid understanding of US GAAP
DELTEK Vision software REQUIRED
