Your Role:

As the Accounting Manager, you will have a direct significant impact in support of our growth as we start and ramp up production and sales. You will outline our cost accounting policies and will be accountable for measuring and reporting manufacturing costs and ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management. You will also support the accounting department and implement and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closeout accounting schedules. 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the process, accounting and posting of all cost and inventory related transactions such as standard cost setting and periodic standard cost roll, labor and overhead absorption, and freight and duties tracking.
  • Support month-end closing GL activities.
  • Design, implement and manage an excess and obsolete inventory reserve process.
  • Prepare monthly close and flux analysis on balance sheet accounts related to inventory. Investigate and resolve significant material, labor and overhead cost variances.
  • Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regard to cost and performance. Design and implement KPIs for management reporting.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to drive operational improvements to reduce material, labor and overhead costs and reduce on-hand inventory levels,
  • Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory valuation.
  • Assist in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 implementation.
  • Assist with cycle count/physical inventories.
  • Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls.
  • Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability
  • Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others.
  • Work on special projects as required.

 Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics discipline required.
  • MBA is preferred
  • Strong business acumen
  • 5+ years of cost and inventory accounting experience in SAP HANA.
  • Exceptional Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Exceptional, precise and clear communication, teamwork, cooperation, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good sense of humor are a MUST in our company!

Annual Salary Range:

($120,000.00 - $150,000.00 DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
