About the role


We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Accounting Manager to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role is perfect for a driven professional who is passionate about media, entertainment, and technology. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the monthly accounting close process including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
  • Prepare monthly P&Ls with actual vs. budget and forecast for each Division/Department, and research variances as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining the A/R aging and ensuring timely collection of receivables
  • Maintain revenue recognition schedules based on legal agreements and relevant accounting guidance
  • Work with the A/P team to ensure invoices are coded correctly and processed in a timely manner
  • Assist with cash management including preparation of the cash flow (direct method) and cash forecasting
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecast
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Respond to management questions by researching and analyzing data
  • Support special projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Research technical accounting issues as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of Finance or Accounting experience; Entertainment industry experience a plus
  • CPA, MBA, master’s in accounting, or public accounting experience a plus
  • Strong Excel and Word skills required, NetSuite experience a plus
  • Detailed oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across the organization
  • Strong analytical skills required; along with attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to accomplish the goals of the accounting department
  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills


Salary & Benefits:

Salary: $100K - $160K
