About the role

We're hiring an Accounting Manager to help scale Radar’s accounting function as we continue to grow. You'll own key areas of the monthly close, financial reporting, audit, and technical accounting, helping ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP.

This is a hands-on role where execution and ownership go hand in hand. You'll own key accounting workstreams, refine processes and controls, and help ensure our accounting processes and systems keep pace with the business as we grow.

Beyond the day-to-day, you'll partner with teams across Finance, Revenue Operations, Legal, and Engineering to support new initiatives while ensuring our accounting processes and financial reporting remain accurate, scalable, and compliant.

You’ll report to our Controller, be based out of our Flatiron (NYC) HQ, and be in-office Monday–Friday.
What you’ll do:

  • Own key areas of our close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and other analyses.

  • Manage accounting for cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, equity, accrued liabilities, and other balance sheet accounts.

  • Partner with Revenue Operations to support billing and ASC 606 revenue recognition.

  • Contribute to our annual financial statement audit, technical accounting initiatives, and implementation of new accounting standards.

  • Refine accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve how the finance team operates.

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and optimize our finance systems, including NetSuite, Ramp, Anrok, and Excel.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting and/or a high-growth technology company.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and the month-end close process.

  • Experience supporting audits and partnering with external auditors.

  • A builder's mindset; you enjoy improving processes, automating manual work, and creating scalable systems.

  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to solving problems.

  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience with SaaS, including ASC 606 revenue recognition.

  • Familiarity with technical accounting areas such as equity, leases, or stock-based compensation.

  • Experience with NetSuite and modern finance systems (e.g., Ramp, Anrok).

  • Strong Excel skills and a track record of improving accounting processes through automation and system implementations.

Who you’ll work with

  • Madeline Ewer, Controller

  • Zach Fraser, CFO/COO

  • Ciaran Ennis, Director of GTM Operations

  • Kendra Powers, Staff Accountant II

What we offer

  • Competitive salary

  • Meaningful stock options in a fast-growing company

  • 401(k) plan with 4% match

  • New HQ in Flatiron, NYC

  • Top-notch equipment

  • Catered lunches

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance with 100% coverage for employees

  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave

  • Commuter and fitness benefits

We’ll share full details of our benefits package at the offer stage. Benefits may vary by location.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
