ALFA is recruiting a Lead Accountant to handle several stimulating responsibilities. Responsibilities:
- Maintain precise financial records, including ledgers and accounts payable/receivable.
- Process payroll efficiently, handling taxes and deductions accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial transactions meticulously.
- Provide insightful financial information and recommendations to management.
- Develop accounting processes, controls, and lead a team of accounting specialists effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, with at least 2 years in a senior position.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to manage small portfolios and deadlines effectively.
- Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks, Xero, Sage and Netsuite)
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lead a team successfully
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of accounting principles, controls, and tax regulations.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English and French
