Bask Health is building the infrastructure powering telehealth’s future—starting with an expansive, accurate, and compliant retail, specialty, and compounding pharmacy network. Our mission is to empower entrepreneurs and businesses to launch a DTC telemedicine company quickly and easily, abstracting away the complexities of the industry into an easy-to-use platform.
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accounting Lead (CPA) to join our growing accounting and finance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in our month-end close process, financial reporting, and scalable process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a fast-paced SaaS or high-volume technology environment. Thrives in a high-growth environment by successfully managing shifting timelines and competing priorities. Proven ability to adapt with dynamically changing business requirements; restructuring close schedules and task priorities with ease.You should be comfortable navigating complex, data-heavy transactions and possess a strong understanding of US GAAP. While a Big 4 background and a CPA license are excellent perks, what we value most is your technical competence, adaptability, and drive to optimize workflows. Demonstrates process resilience through the building of flexible accounting workflows that can scale and shift as corporate strategies evolve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Close: Own key areas of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Revenue & Volume Accounting: Assist in overseeing high-volume transaction processing, billing reconciliations, and SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606).
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting schedules for management reporting and external audits.
  • Process Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting workflows, leverage modern fintech tools, and scale our high-volume transaction pipeline.
  • Compliance & Tax: Assist with local, state, and federal compliance requirements, including sales tax (Nexus) and corporate tax filings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Ops, Engineering, and Data teams to ensure financial data integrity and resolve transactional anomalies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicates technical accounting policies clearly to diverse personalities and leadership styles across the organization.
  • Interpersonal Mediation: Navigates sensitive cross-departmental financial discrepancies with high emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Industry Background: Strong preference for experience in SaaS, e-commerce, or high-volume tech companies handling large datasets.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Public Accounting: Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience is preferred but not required.
  • Certifications: CPA or CPA candidate
  • Technical Savvy: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Index/Match) are non-negotiable. Cloud ERPs; experience with Rillet is highly advantageous, and familiarity with Stripe is a distinct plus.
  • Remote Fluency: Proven ability to work autonomously, communicate proactively, and collaborate effectively across a distributed team using Slack, Zoom, and project management tools.
