We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team. This role combines traditional AR and billing responsibilities with business analysis functions, including data visualization, reporting, and process optimization. You will leverage tools like Power BI and Excel to provide actionable insights, support decision-making, and enhance operational efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Accounts Receivable & Billing 
    • Process and apply customer payments accurately in NetSuite. 
    • Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts to reduce DSO. 
    • Generate and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with contract terms. 
    • Support month-end close activities related to AR and deferred revenue. 
  • Business Analysis & Reporting 
    • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize AR, billing, and subscription metrics. 
    • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. 
    • Prepare reports and presentations for management to support strategic decisions. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define KPIs and improve reporting accuracy. 
  • Subscription Management 
    • Track renewals, cancellations, and adjustments in NetSuite. 
    • Ensure accurate revenue recognition and support automation initiatives for subscription reporting. 
  • Sales and Use Tax (SST) Compliance 
    • Validate tax calculations on invoices and ensure proper jurisdictional compliance. 
    • Assist with monthly SST filings and maintain accurate tax records. 
  • Process Improvement 
    • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in AR, billing, and reporting workflows. 
    • Recommend and implement solutions to streamline processes using data-driven insights. 
  • Other Duties 
    • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred. 
  • 2+ years of experience in AR, billing, or business analysis roles. 
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred). 
  • Strong understanding of subscription billing and revenue recognition principles. 
  • Knowledge of SST compliance and tax reporting. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external interactions. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools. 
  • Experience with automation tools and dashboards. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
