General Summary

Under minimal supervision, this position provides professional accounting support to the General Accounting and/or department related to the maintenance, processing and analysis of accounting records in a manner consistent with the Company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Prepare and maintain accounting records that validate the accuracy of accounting information and ensure compliance with GAAP.

  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries to support the monthly close process.

  • Examine, analyze and interpret accounting records to support strategic decision making.

  • Participate in cross training efforts for developmental purposes and departmental coverage.

  • Prepare selected balance sheet reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

  • Perform special projects and additional assignments as directed that support the General Accounting function.

  • Participate in the review of the monthly financial package to ensure the accuracy of financial information and to assist in strategic decision making.

  • Respond to inquiries made by upper management related to financial package to support strategic decision making.

  • Review of various accounting reports to ensure the accuracy and clarity of information presented.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting

Work Experience

  • 3-5 Years Accounting experience preferred

  • Experience with construction accounting and Viewpoint Vista required

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Advanced computer spreadsheet skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP

  • Analytical skills

Base Salary Range: 

$63,481.00 - $95,221.00

Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
