Crestline is seeking a highly skilled and motivated accountant to join our team. The accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting for the firm. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in accounting and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Accounting:
    • Execute day-to-day accounting tasks, including recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end close processes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting-related inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Financial Reporting Support:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Contribute to the accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Support efforts to ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
    • Participate in activities related to external audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Internal Controls and Processes:
    • Assist in maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain the integrity of financial information.
    • Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Financial Analysis Assistance:
    • Provide support for financial analysis efforts, offering insights and data to assist senior management.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with various departments, including fund accounting, operations, and investment teams, to contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting.

Competency:

  • Knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting is a plus.
  • Exposure to alternative asset management is a plus.
  • Licensed CPA, CPA eligible and/or, currently working to become CPA eligible, is preferred.
