Account Manager - Media

The Dynata Account Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring outstanding customer results in their day-to-day project-level needs.  Moving beyond responsiveness, the Account Manager builds relationships, anticipates client needs and constantly seek to find creative solutions. The Account Manager is the front-line contact for our clients and has the responsibility to be able to understand the client need and coordinate the resources to solve the client issues quickly and efficiently.

The Role
The purpose of this role is to be a client leader in the Dynata Media division. The Media group provides consumer insights, campaign effectiveness and audience activation solutions to Dynata clients.

Dynata is well known in the research industry with over 3,000 global clients. Being an Account Manager within the Dynata Media division represents an opportunity to sell novel and differentiated products to our client partners that span media publishers, large corporate brands, and advertising agencies across the United States and Canada.. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, intellectually curious, a thoughtful and pragmatic problem-solver that can champion the needs of our esteemed clients and has an innate ability to work cross-functionally with an array of internal and external constituents. 

As a complement to the client service skill set required for success in this role, the ideal candidate will come with experience in fields like marketing science, analytics, strategic insights, or business intelligence.  

What You’ll Do as an Account Manager:

  • Be the primary point of contact for a list of key existing customers

  • Is expert at discovery and understands the client’s needs beyond the details of a quote and leverages knowledge to uncover additional needs we can meet.

  • Have responsibility for ensuring attentive customer service and building enduring relationships with our clients

  • Partner with Account Director on key accounts to ensure sales targets are met and help identify other solutions from the product suite that could proffer value

  • Manage day-to-day account activities, partnering across departments to ensure smooth delivery.  

  • Highlight key insights on projects while they are in field by reviewing data accessible through near real-time proprietary tools, and keep client up to date on performance of projects

  • Serve as an internal extension for key clients and advocate on their behalf as needed

  • Follow industry trends that may affect our client’s business

 Essential Skills

  • Proven ability to deliver consistent results against financial targets over an extended period of time.

  • Knowledge and sales experience with media ad tech /ad measurement products and services

  • Hands-on approach - not afraid to maneuver through all aspects of the business (sales, strategy, ops, marketing, product development, recruitment etc.)

  • Influential and comfortable serving as a trusted and consultative resource

  • Aptitude for interpreting data and adept at working with numbers

  • Able to work efficiently and get things done quickly

  • Strong communication, oratory, and time management skills

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office tools and ability to master other needed business tools e.g., Maconomy, SPSS, Survey Reporter).

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years working in research, marketing sciences, business intelligence, strategic insights and/or analytics at a brand, agency, publisher, platform, or advertising technology firm

The salary range for this position in is $75k - $90k/yr (base + variable); with additional upside bonuses available based on territory performance. A discretionary incentive program may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits.
