Datex is seeking an experienced, skilled Account Manager with expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), supply chain, and logistics to join our team.  This role is pivotal in managing and expanding relationships with existing customers, ensuring they derive maximum value from our solutions and product offerings.  Account Managers are responsible for developing long-term, trusting, mutually beneficial customer relationships, and establishing a trusted advisor relationship with the client’s key business executives, project sponsors and stakeholders.  As an outcome of that relationship, an Account Manager actively qualifies and develops cross-sell, upsell, and expansion opportunities from their assigned portfolio, as well as long-term renewal strategies.  In summary, this role is responsible for the contractual, revenue, strategic and overall relationship wellness of our client partnerships. This role includes variable compensation based on performance targets tied to revenue generation.

Customer Relationship Management: You are the primary point of contact for your assigned portfolio, building long-term relationships with the key stakeholders.

Account Growth: Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities to expand account value, as well as carry and exceed a defined quota by growing portfolio revenue.

Prospect Pipeline: Establish, grow and maintain an appropriate pipeline to achieve revenue goals.

Renewals and Retention: Lead renewal conversations, strategy, planning and execution.  Manage churn and retention rates to company standards.

Ongoing Communication: Establish and maintain consistent communication with the customer’s executive and leadership team, including conducting Quarterly Business Reviews.

Cross-functional Stewardship: Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure alignment, awareness, and successful delivery of contracted services.

Engagement Advocacy: Generate awareness of and drive participation in the various Client Programs such as User Groups, User Conferences, monthly webinars, etc. 

Administrative Acumen: Strong judgment, skill, and insight in managing administrative tasks, systems, and portfolio operations through maintaining CRM system records and account plans.

Customer Reference Initiative: Support Sales, Marketing and CSM teams with the Reference process as requested/required from assigned customers.

Travel: Up to 20%

RequirementsRequired Qualifications
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in warehousing, logistics or similar discipline and/or at least 5 years of experience in a closely related field.
  • Current or recent professional development activities such as membership in industry or professional organizations, memberships, or publications; maintaining professional networks; upskilling courses or training as it relates to the industry.
Preferred Skills
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Account Management, Sales, or Business Development.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience with a Saas, Software or Technology company.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, Saas business models, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry and exceed quotas through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and steadfast credibility.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Time management and multitasking skills to handle multiple tasks and clients at once.

Salary range: $130k to $150k base plus bonus opportunities, depending on many factors including experience, skill set, and more.
