Job Summary:

 The Account Manager will drive business growth, manage existing accounts, and pursue new client opportunities.  They will focus on exceeding sales targets, build strong client relationships, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and execute new business development strategy.
  • Work more than half of the time in the field at customer sites seeking to obtain orders from customers for the company’s products and services.
  • Develop and manage overall sales pipeline in-line with growth targets and drive actions to increase funnel velocity and conversion rates.
  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries, cold calling, and leveraging existing relationships. 
  • Manage sales pipeline and progress opportunities from discovery to contract. 
  • Build customer specific strategies for new customers that identify key growth drivers, optimize route to market and drive value for both the customer and New Indy Packaging. 
  • Organize and lead customer collaboration and innovation workshops.
  • Own the communication and presentation of our value proposition to prospective customers.
  • Secure new business by commercializing new projects with prospective customers.
  • Develops relationships with strategic customers’ decision makers and influencers.
  • Accelerate major commercial topics both internally and externally.
  • Brings new products to market by partnering with Design and key customers.
  • Ensures adequate coverage of existing and target accounts.
  • Represent New Indy in the presentation and sale of New Indy products and services, as well as providing customer service.
  • Negotiates and closes equitable deals with customers in accordance with New Indy standards.
  • Lead or support long term supply agreement negotiations with new customers.    
  • Identify and capture key consumer and market insights, growth opportunities and customer priorities.
  • Account management as assigned, owning the overall account and management of the day-to day relationship, including account planning, forecasting, inventory, past due collections, etc.
  • Work cross functionally across New Indy internal teams to ensure best in class customer service.
  • Partner with other account managers/partners and support both new and existing North America and Key Accounts, as required
  • Participate in weekly and monthly internal calls and meetings. 
  • Ensures assignments meet established standards and deadlines.
  • Exercise sound and independent judgement and discretion in performing all of the above duties.
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the packaging industry or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
  • Ability to make decisions independently and exercise sound judgment and discretion in doing so
  • Proficient in sales pipeline management and reporting tools.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for daily travel.
  • Ability to travel as required (at least 50%+ for outside sales work at client sites).
