Global Account Manager - Hyperscale

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Global Account Manager - Hyperscale, you will own end-to-end responsibility for strategic hyperscale and silicon design customers in the Bay Area. Reporting to the Sr. Manager - Hyperscale Sales, you will drive growth across EBO optical interconnect, TwinAx copper interconnect, thermal, acoustic, and broader material science innovation. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Own global account strategy, revenue growth, pipeline, forecasting, and executive relationships for assigned hyperscale and silicon design customers.
  • Lead design-in and commercialization of EBO, TwinAx, thermal, acoustic, and material science solutions from early engineering engagement through qualification, negotiation, launch, and scale.
  • Build multi-year account plans that connect customer technology roadmaps and pain points to 3M capabilities and new growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate global teams across sales, application engineering, R&D, supply chain, manufacturing, and leadership to deliver customer commitments.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and strategic agreements that balance customer value, growth, margin, capacity, and long-term partnership objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customer engineering, sourcing, and executive stakeholders while aligning connector, cable, package, and manufacturing partners required for adoption and scale.

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position 


Your Skills and Expertise  
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Five (5) years of sales, account management, business development, or field application engineering experience, including complex customer programs or strategic accounts in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Current, valid Driver's License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in data center, cloud infrastructure, semiconductors, interconnect, electronics, thermal management, or advanced materials.
  • Direct experience supporting hyperscale, silicon design, networking, optics, or AI infrastructure customers.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing strategic accounts, securing design wins, and leading complex negotiations.
  • Strong technical aptitude, executive communication, and ability to translate customer requirements into cross-functional priorities.

Work location: California or Washington; field-based with regular in-person customer and ecosystem engagement.

Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/international travel.

Relocation: May be authorized.

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
