Daybreak Health is creating a world where every young person benefits from mental health support. We provide tech-enabled mental health care to kids ages 5–19 and their families. We partner with public school districts to reach the most vulnerable populations and work with health insurance companies to cover the cost of care.

We’re a YC-backed company, with Seed funding from Maven Ventures, Series A from Lightspeed Ventures, and Series B from Union Square Ventures. About the Role: Account Manager (K12 Districts – East & Central Regions)

Daybreak is seeking an experienced Account Manager to support our growing community of K-12 school district partners. As a key member of the Account Management Team, you will report directly to the VP of K12 Success and be instrumental in building strong, strategic relationships with district stakeholders, ensuring successful implementation, renewals, and ongoing partnership growth.

This role is fully remote and open to candidates based in EST or CST time zones only.

What You'll Do
  • Manage a portfolio of up to 60 district accounts, maintaining strong, consultative relationships with district decision-makers and school staff.

  • Collaborate with AEs, implementation leads, and CSMs to ensure new districts launch within 4 weeks of contract signing.

  • Develop and execute annual utilization-focused partnership plans in coordination with the Customer Success team.

  • Drive adoption of Daybreak's programs through strategic conversations and data storytelling.

  • Own the renewal cycle from budgeting through board approvals.

  • Identify and close expansion opportunities throughout the school year.

  • Conduct bi-annual cabinet-level business reviews showcasing Daybreak’s impact and outcomes.

  • Cultivate champions within district accounts to drive deeper engagement.

  • Partner with Sales and Health Plan teams on strategic regional growth efforts.

  • Serve as the voice of the customer, contributing insights that inform product and business strategy.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven success managing large customer portfolios, ideally in education or public health sectors.

  • Experience navigating ARR goals, contract renewals, and board approvals.

  • Strong data skills and ability to analyze implementation/outcome metrics.

  • Proficient in stakeholder engagement and strategic account planning.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with customer health tracking and mitigation strategies.

  • Must be based in EST or CST time zones.

Nice-to-Haves:
  • Background in mental health or healthcare.

  • Experience with Salesforce, Google Sheets, or Excel.

  • Familiarity with customer success platforms and tools.

Compensation
  • Base Salary Range: $78,000 Base + Additional variable comp as part of the role
