About Argyle

Argyle is a fast-growing, remote-first, Series C startup solving a consumer data problem.

For decades, financial service providers and other businesses have collected and verified consumer income, employment, and asset data the same way: by hand or via verification databases. These methods are expensive, time consuming, high friction, and/or unreliable. In turn, experiences like applying for a loan or completing a background check are challenging for service providers and consumers alike.

The solution is Argyle. We’re the leading provider of direct-source, consumer-permissioned income, employment, and asset verifications. We make it fast and easy to gain secure and reliable access to the most complete real-time datasets stored in consumers’ payroll and banking accounts, so service providers can automate verification workflows, save time, reduce risks, lower costs, and build better product experiences.

Named one of America’s Best Startup Employers of 2025 by Forbes, Argyle largely serves the mortgage, government benefits, tenant screening, personal lending, and background check industries as well as the gig economy.

Founded in 2018, Argyle’s commitment to innovation is backed by investors including Bain Capital Ventures, Checkr, Mastercard, Rockefeller Asset Management and SignalFire.

About the team

The sales team's mission is to make Argyle the leading verification platform in mortgage. We combine product, technical, and industry expertise to help lenders see — and act on — the value of payroll data in the mortgage process, then build the solutions that let them put it to work.

What You’ll Do

You'll be the face of Argyle for our most strategic mortgage accounts, driving deals from first conversation to signed contract and beyond.

  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle — prospecting, discovery, demos, negotiation, and close — with the largest mortgage lenders in the US
  • Run high-quality discovery calls that uncover customer pain points and map Argyle's solution to their business needs
  • Identify and sell into multiple use cases and stakeholders across a lender's organization
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our most strategic accounts through integration, scaling, and product expansion
  • Partner with Product, feeding customer data and insight back into the roadmap
  • Build the playbooks and repeatable processes that let customer success scale with the account base
  • Travel to client sites, industry conferences, and internal team gatherings as needed
Who you are
  • 10+ years in a quota-carrying sales role, with a consistent track record of exceeding targets
  • Proven experience selling mortgage technology to enterprise clients (required)
  • Strong, active network among large mortgage lenders
  • Comfortable operating in an early-stage, fast-paced growth environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator
  • Strategic mindset — able to build scalable processes and tools as the team grows
  • Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work (research, prospecting, drafting, call prep) to move faster and work smarter
Why Argyle?

At Argyle, you’ll be part of a remote-first team, with competitive pay and equity to match. You’ll work alongside smart, thoughtful, and ambitious teammates who genuinely care about delivering best-in-class service. We hold ourselves to a high standard, but keep egos out of it - everyone has real ownership and the flexibility to work in a way that suits them, including flexible time off. We’re intentional about building an inclusive team where different backgrounds and perspectives lead to better ideas and stronger collaboration. Sounds like a place you'd thrive? Apply today.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
