About Truv

Truv empowers mortgage lenders, banks, credit unions, and government agencies to make faster, smarter verification decisions through consumer-permissioned income, employment, and asset data, plus automated document processing. By integrating with payroll systems and financial platforms, Truv reduces verification costs up to ~60–80% and offers real-time transparency and regulatory compliance. Truv is an approved verification vendor for both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and is backed by Kleiner Perkins.

About the Job

Selling to mortgage lenders isn't a transactional pitch; it's a consultative conversation about how verifications fit into complex origination workflows. The best AE at Truv is a product advisor first and a salesperson second.

As an Account Executive, Mortgage, you'll own the full sales cycle for mortgage prospects while earning credibility through genuine technical and operational depth. You'll balance two priorities:

  • Advise, Then Sell – Understand a lender's verification workflows well enough to design the right solution, then guide them to it.

  • Own the Number – Drive pipeline and close revenue across a defined book of mortgage accounts.

You'll work closely with Product, Solutions/Engineering, and the VP, Mortgage, to win and expand accounts.

What You'll Do:

  • Consultative, Product-Led Selling: Lead technical, operations-grounded conversations with lenders, diagnosing verification workflows and mapping Truv's platform to their needs.

  • Full-Cycle Ownership: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through technical evaluation, negotiation, and close.

  • Solution Design: Partner with Product and Solutions Engineering to scope integrations (POS/LOS), pilots, and rollouts that fit each lender's stack.

  • Pipeline Generation: Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through outbound, inbound, and relationship-driven sourcing.

  • Deal Navigation: Manage complex buying committees (operations, compliance, IT, and lending executives) through to signature.

  • Expansion: Grow adoption within accounts by identifying new use cases and workflows where Truv adds value.

  • Voice of the Customer: Bring workflow and product feedback back to Product to sharpen the roadmap and positioning.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years in B2B sales, with a strong track record selling into mortgage lenders or the broader mortgage ecosystem.

  • Genuine technical and operational depth in mortgage, fluent in origination workflows and how verifications fit in.

  • A product-advisor mindset: you win by being the most knowledgeable, helpful person in the room.

  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.

  • Comfort with technical evaluations and integration discussions (POS/LOS, APIs, pilots).

  • Comfortable getting hands-on with the product and technical documentation (demo.truv.com, docs.truv.com) and discussing technical aspects credibly with buyers.

  • Excellent discovery, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Consistent record of meeting or exceeding quota.

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience at a mortgage technology, fintech, or verification company.

  • Familiarity with VOIE/VOA/VOE and GSE programs (DU/AIM).

  • Hands-on experience with major POS and LOS platforms.

  • Experience selling in an early-stage or high-growth environment.

Benefits:

  • Fully remote

  • Competitive salary and equity package

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k)

  • Flexible time off

  • Work with cutting-edge technology and innovative customers

  • Opportunity to shape the future of financial data access

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
