CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs.

***Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days a week in the office) in one of our office locations - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Los Angeles, CA, Chicago, IL or Atlanta, GA.***

We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Director to join our team as a leader and playmaker at the intersection of sports/entertainment and experiential marketing.

In this role, you will work closely with members of our full account team to support strategic account management projects, and lead the implementation of a new talent procurement and contract process.

There will be a strong focus on team leadership/management, integrated planning across internal/external channels, and advance facilitation working with internal teammates and partners throughout the process.

To be successful, you’ll need to be an inspiring leader, an excellent communicator, and have specific expertise in project management.

The position is best suited for a candidate passionate about working in a team environment with a diverse group of people from different cultural backgrounds and interested in managing multiple workstreams.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the development and execution of a new talent procurement process ensuring diligent risk management and compliance across key milestones
  • Provide detailed reporting and visibility into client’s full talent roster while fostering account wide collaboration and understanding for talent efficiencies and utilization
  • Support and spearhead projects that are integral to streamlining our account management processes and communication of shared resources
  • Champion and cultivate relationships with our clients, members of the full account team and agency departments
  • Full understanding of requirements to develop, effectively communicate and implement integrated projects across various verticals/teams
  • Manage team’s collaboration with internal departments, representing account and facilitating engagement while ensuring operational consistency and reporting
  • Work closely with our clients, internal account leads and agency departments throughout project delivery
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 6-9 years of experience with an agency, brand or property on the development and delivery of integrated projects
  • Strong background in one or more of the following disciplines: account management, project management, operations, and/or production. Experience in talent management and procurement for brand campaigns and appearances is required
  • Superior verbal and written communicator able to scale and adapt communications for a variety of audiences to optimally and succinctly keep teams organized and on task
  • A strategic, collaborative approach to solving problems with ideas – build relationships and influence a range of teams. Successful at cultivated positive agency and client relationships
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to see possible impacts of a decision on many projects
  • A valid US passport is required
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically (and internationally) and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: low (10-20%)

The base range for this position is $70,000 – 90,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications
