Brand New School is seeking a 2D/3D Animator for a full-time hybrid role at our Los Angeles studio. With ~65 employees across the United States, we are a tight community of talented artists and producers with one common goal - making great work.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 2D and 3D animations that bring characters, objects, and environments to life, while adhering to project specifications and timelines.
- Conceive of and visualize forward-thinking ideas that push the creative boundaries of our projects.
- Work with animation and design teams, including directors, designers, and producers, to bring designs to life in novel ways for a variety of content platforms.
- Work with creatives to ensure that all assets and deliverables are completed to a high standard under the team’s creative visions.
- Prepare deliverables to broadcast specifications.
- Being an active participant of the team and contributing to the creative culture of the studio.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and best practices and incorporate them into your work.
Qualifications
- 3+ years working in commercials, film, or production.
- Strong knowledge of animating in C4D and general 3D pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of animating in After Effects. Knowledge of animating in Calvary and X Particles is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Red Shift, Octane and/or Arnold Renderer (or willingness to learn).
- Excel at working on a team, working independently, and have ambitions of either leading teams or growing into that role.
- Excel at building processes and protocols and adhering to deadlines.
- Desire to work with production teams to determine schedules and staffing needs.
- Know how to take creative direction, respond to feedback in a timely manner and be respectful of project deadlines.

Salary Range
$70,000 - $110,000
