Waymo's Systems Engineering team works together to blend software and hardware systems in groundbreaking new ways. We set the high performance standards that ensure our vehicles run smoothly and keep passengers safe, then design and perform the tests that validate that performance. We're looking for talented teammates who’ll help us maintain strong teamwork and are passionate about driving results.

 

You will:

  • Develop a user interface providing distributed measurements of the fog along the tunnel at one of Waymo’s test sites
  • Develop a system capable of independently controlling fog for each subsection
  • Procure, install, test and document the system

You have:

  • Currently enrolled in a BS program in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related technical field of study
  • Experience in the development of robotic systems through either prior internship experience or classwork
  • Good communication abilities to interact with a remote team at the test site
  • Capable of modeling and designing closed-loop controllers

The expected hourly rate for this full-time position is listed below. Interns are also eligible to participate in the Company’s generous benefits programs, subject to eligibility requirements.
