Turion Space is seeking a motivated IT Support Specialist to deliver world-class IT services to our rapidly growing team. This role is perfect for someone who wants to grow with a dynamic aerospace company, supporting engineers and operations teams working on cutting-edge space technology. You'll be responsible for the complete lifecycle of IT services from employee onboarding and hardware setup to troubleshooting, maintenance, and infrastructure support.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong technical fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the drive to learn and grow. You'll work across Windows and Linux environments, supporting both office operations and specialized production systems. This is a hands-on role where you'll make a direct impact on the company's success every day.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide 1st and 2nd tier technical support to Turion Space employees
Manage on-site IT asset inventory and complete hardware lifecycle management
Procure, configure, and deploy end-user computer systems, peripherals, and mobile devices
Troubleshoot and resolve end-user software and hardware issues, both in-person and remotely
Install, configure, and support Windows and Linux workstations and applications
Configure and troubleshoot desktop, label, and multifunction printers
Assist users with network connectivity issues and basic device connection troubleshooting
Onboard new employees with hardware setup, software installation, and account configuration
Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades on end-user devices
Create clear user documentation and communicate technical solutions to non-technical staff
Maintain organized records of IT assets, support tickets, and equipment inventory
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
2+ years of professional experience building, deploying, and troubleshooting end-user computer systems, hardware, software, and basic network connectivity in a professional environment
Experience supporting Windows environments and Microsoft technologies
Experience with or willingness to learn Linux desktop environments
Must be willing to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. for duties such as equipment delivery and installation
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Hands-on experience with Linux desktop environments
Technical certifications (A+, Network+, Linux+, or similar)
Knowledge of audio-visual and conference room technologies
Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, or fast-paced technical environments
Comfortable working independently while managing frequent interruptions and shifting priorities
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
Experience with ticketing systems and IT asset management tools
