Job/Role Description:

The Associate Creative Director (ACD) will serve as the visual design lead and creative engine driving Phamily’s enterprise market expansion. As we scale, this role ensures our visual identity, sales collateral, and campaign assets reflect an industry-leading, high-trust healthcare brand.

The ACD provides visual leadership and art direction across all marketing, product marketing, and enterprise sales initiatives. We believe compelling creative work can help grow our pipeline and advance deals.

They are a visual-first "player-coach”, initially focused on 70% hands-on execution and 30% creative management/coaching, The ACD will directly produce high-impact visual assets while mentoring a junior creative resource and coordinating external creative partners (agency + freelance). Over time, your scope will naturally shift toward higher-level brand direction and team leadership.

We are an AI company striving toward impactful visual storytelling that reflects our mission, vision, and future. We want fresh, distinctive work from a thoughtful human creator (not generative AI slop), but we do expect our creative lead to be at the forefront of combining high-end design principles with cutting-edge AI workflow and assistive tools to build an agile, enterprise-grade creative operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead visual art direction and end-to-end design execution across content, sales materials, ABM campaign assets, digital experience, event branding, and patient-facing or clinician-facing collateral.
  • Maintain a high-velocity personal production load (~70% bandwidth) while coaching, reviewing, and developing the skill sets of junior design talent.
  • Direct and manage external creative resources, orchestrating both full-service agency deliverables and an agile roster of freelance specialists.
  • Evolve, scale, and maintain Phamily’s brand guidelines and visual design system, ensuring consistent aesthetic quality across all B2B touchpoints.
  • Partner closely with the ABM Demand Gen Manager and Product Marketing Manager to craft visually compelling, outcome-focused storytelling assets for target accounts.
  • Pioneer modern generative AI design workflows to accelerate concept iteration, asset creation, and campaign execution without compromising brand identity.
  • Establish creative operational workflows, asset management systems, and QA processes for fast-turnaround marketing and sales support.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of progressive visual design and art direction experience, ideally in a high-growth setting
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating visual-first execution across enterprise B2B campaigns, brand identity systems, and multi-channel print and digital assets.
  • Demonstrated track record of directing and managing external resources (agencies and freelancers) as well as mentoring junior creative individual contributors.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design tools and active experience integrating AI design tools into your creative workflow.
  • Strong understanding of how visual hierarchy, typography, and storytelling drive B2B buyer engagement and enterprise deal velocity.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design strategy to cross-functional leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, fine arts, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred requirements:

  • Entrepreneurial DNA: A 'builder' mentality with the ability to operate effectively in high-ambiguity environments where processes may not be fully fleshed out.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, B2B SaaS, or enterprise service environments – with a perspective on how we can elevate our brand above the crowd.

Work style & logistics

We are a fast-growing, early-stage company with a bold mission and significant work ahead; every employee at Jaan Health must embody growth company DNA. This means you have proven success in a high-performing environment: high velocity, strong ownership, comfort with ambiguity, resilience, and a true growth mindset.

You are both a playbook builder and executor, able to design scalable approaches for today while anticipating what the business will need tomorrow, and then follow through to deliver results.

Our culture is built on five principles that shape how we work, lead, and grow:

  • Care: We put patients, clients, teammates, and outcomes first.
  • Curiosity: We ask better questions, challenge assumptions, and keep learning.
  • Clarity: We simplify complexity, communicate directly, and create alignment.
  • Co-Creation: We collaborate across teams, perspectives, and disciplines.
  • Craftsmanship: We execute with excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Our Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation based on experience and impact
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents at a low cost
  • Generous Paid Time Off: up to 35 paid days off each year so you can recharge, recover, and give back, including:
    • 12 vacation days accrued annually for rest, travel, and personal time
    • Up to 9 sick/wellness days to prioritize your health and well-being
    • 12 paid company holidays throughout the year
    • 2 Paid Give-Back Days to volunteer and make a meaningful impact in the communities you care about
  • HSA and FSA account options
  • 401(k) with company match after 6 months of full-time employment
    • 100% match on the first 3% contributed, and 50% match on the next 2% contributed
  • A collaborative, mission-driven team helping transform healthcare at scale

If you take pride in delivering results, embrace challenges, and proactively seek improvement, then this is the place for you. You’ll join a smart, humble, and collaborative team dedicated to improving healthcare.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
