PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $18 - $25/hr hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.  Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance.  We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees.  Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan.  Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA. If you’re located within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.  For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE 

 

As a Performance Analyst Intern at BECU, you’ll play a vital role in supporting data-driven decision-making within the business unit. Under the guidance of department leadership, you’ll gain hands-on experience extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to create reports and dashboards that enhance operational performance. Your contributions will help improve processes, ensure reporting accuracy, and provide valuable insights that drive business decisions. This internship will give you the opportunity to develop your analytical skills, work with key performance data, and collaborate on meaningful process improvement initiatives. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

 

  • Deliver Accurate Reporting: Ensure business unit reports are completed accurately and on time to drive effective decision-making. 

  • Create & Maintain Dashboards: Develop visual reports that help track performance, identify trends, and highlight key insights. 

  • Support Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and resolve reporting discrepancies to meet compliance standards and operational accuracy. 

  • Improve Processes: Assist leadership in identifying gaps, updating workflows, and implementing best practices that enhance team efficiency. 

  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives that streamline reporting and operational effectiveness while providing recommendations on improvements. 

  • Analyze & Interpret Data: Gather, document, and analyze data to uncover trends, provide insights, and drive data-backed decisions. 

  • Optimize Metrics & Reporting: Provide input on key performance indicators and analytics that support compliance, operational success, and business strategies. 

  • Troubleshoot & Support Reporting Tools: Identify and resolve report execution failures to maintain seamless data access. 

  • Visualize Data for Usability: Extract, manipulate, and format existing data into visually compelling reports that maximize usability and impact. 

  • Provide Operational Support: Collaborate with internal teams to supply key performance data related to products, channels, and member engagement. 

  • Leverage BECU Systems for Insights: Utilize tools for querying, modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. 

  • Support Business Growth: Identify and collect data that contributes to long-term planning and potential product or service enhancements. 

  • Maintain Documentation & Best Practices: Ensure all reporting procedures are well-documented and follow industry best practices. 

  • Take on Additional Responsibilities: Support team objectives with other tasks as needed to enhance overall operational success.

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent degree program. 

  • Basic understanding of data analysis, reporting, and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
