Own interceptor aerodynamics from outer mold line design through wind tunnel and flight testing. Build and maintain aerodynamic databases for 6DOF simulations, conduct supersonic and transonic analyses using CFD and engineering tools, evaluate stability, control, heating, loads, and propulsion interactions, and correlate models with test and flight data.

Leads a mechanical engineering team responsible for interceptor airframes, structures, mechanisms, launcher interfaces, CAD assemblies, and structural analysis. Owns designs from concept through ground testing and live flight, coordinating with propulsion, aerodynamics, controls, and electrical teams. Manages materials, vendors, manufacturing quality, structural and environmental testing, technical risks, schedules, and engineering standards. Hands-on shop and test work is expected.

Own structural and mechanical interceptor subsystems from concept through flight hardware. Perform structural, vibration, shock, thermal, hand-calculation, and FEA analyses; create production-ready CAD and GD&T drawings; select aerospace materials; collaborate across engineering teams; work with vendors and machine shops; design fixtures and conduct environmental and structural testing; build hardware hands-on; and mentor junior engineers.
