Provides full-scope optometry care, including eye examinations, prescribing and fitting corrective lenses, ocular disease management, and pre- and post-operative care. The role requires collaboration with support staff, strong patient service, compliance with state licensing requirements, and occasional travel between practices.

Processes patient statements, refunds, payments, adjustments, claims, and insurance remittances for multiple optometry practices. Researches account receivables, resolves claim errors, maintains accurate patient ledgers, and submits primary and secondary claims. Responds to patient and clinic billing questions while ensuring HIPAA/HITECH compliance. Minimal travel between practices may be required.

Performs general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, internal controls, and audit support. Reviews staff accounting work, assists with budgeting and expenditure coding, documents accounting processes, and trains technical and clerical personnel. The role requires onsite work five days per week and occasional overtime during month-end close.
