Lead the design and development of major aircraft composite structures, including wings, fuselage sections, empennage, and bonded assemblies. Define structural architecture, laminate strategies, joints, load paths, tooling, and assembly approaches. Mentor structures engineers, collaborate with stress and manufacturing teams, and drive designs through PDR, CDR, first article, structural testing, and first flight. Design composite and metallic aircraft structures from concept through first flight. Responsibilities include laminate and ply definition, structural joints, bonded assemblies, CAD modeling, engineering drawing release, manufacturing collaboration, structural testing, and design iteration based on analysis and shop-floor feedback. The role requires onsite work in Oxnard, California and supports structures across the full aerospace lifecycle.

Lead end-to-end design and development of composite aircraft structures including CAD modeling, initial sizing, structural analysis, DFM, prototype and production support, and cross-functional coordination. Establish design standards, mentor junior engineers, and ensure manufacturability and compliance with aviation and DoD certification requirements.
