Lead the design and development of major aircraft composite structures, including wings, fuselage sections, empennage, and bonded assemblies. Define structural architecture, laminate strategies, joints, load paths, tooling, and assembly approaches. Mentor structures engineers, collaborate with stress and manufacturing teams, and drive designs through PDR, CDR, first article, structural testing, and first flight. The role is hands-on, onsite in Oxnard, California, and requires experience with large-scale aircraft structures and full development cycles.

Design composite and metallic aircraft structures from concept through first flight. Responsibilities include laminate and ply definition, structural joints, bonded assemblies, CAD modeling, engineering drawing release, manufacturing collaboration, structural testing, and design iteration based on analysis and shop-floor feedback. The role requires onsite work in Oxnard, California and supports structures across the full aerospace lifecycle.

Lead end-to-end design and development of composite aircraft structures including CAD modeling, initial sizing, structural analysis, DFM, prototype and production support, and cross-functional coordination. Establish design standards, mentor junior engineers, and ensure manufacturability and compliance with aviation and DoD certification requirements.

Lead structural design and development of a novel swarming UAV from concept through production: drive composite airframe sizing, laminates, joints, CAD-to-hardware deliverables, DFM, design reviews, supplier/manufacturing integration, and mentor engineering teammates.

Lead IT operations and end-user support: administer Entra ID/Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Intune and Jamf; manage onboarding/offboarding, device lifecycle, software deployment, patching, asset inventory, escalated troubleshooting, and office IT. Improve processes, documentation, and scalability while supporting cloud and on-prem environments for a growing defense/aerospace startup.

Design and integrate aircraft electrical and avionics systems: power distribution, wire harness routing, connector selection, load analysis, and EMI/EMC mitigation. Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and ICDs, support flight test anomaly investigations, collaborate with structures/mechanical/systems teams, and contribute to airworthiness and flight authorization documentation.

Build and run the company's accounting function end-to-end: monthly close, GAAP financials, cost accounting for hardware manufacturing (inventory, WIP, standard costs), ERP administration, government contract accounting (FAR/DFARS, CLINs), DCAA audit readiness, AP/payroll, internal controls, and support audits and FP&A.

Lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, investor and board reporting, financial modeling, and core finance operations. Partner with ops, engineering, and supply chain on cost, inventory, and decision-support. Establish KPIs, dashboards, controls, and collaborate on month-end close and fundraising support.

Design, integrate, and test aircraft mechanical systems and airframe structures. Create detailed CAD models and drawings, ensure manufacturability, collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers, support prototype build and flight test, and document and present engineering analyses.

Own and administer Siemens Teamcenter PLM for a fast-moving aerospace program: install, configure, upgrade, and support Teamcenter and CAD integrations (NX). Configure BOMs, workflows, change management, access controls, and user training. Troubleshoot PLM issues, collaborate with engineers and IT, and drive continuous PLM process improvements and documentation.

Architect and build backend systems for a real-time Command and Control platform directing large swarms of heterogeneous aircraft. Develop distributed infrastructure for mission control despite intermittent communications, ingest and process high-throughput telemetry and sensor data, and manage scheduling and data links. Own backend features from design through deployment while supporting reliability, scalability, CI/CD, QA, and DevSecOps practices.

Lead frontend architecture for Legion’s real-time Command & Control platform, enabling operators to plan and direct large swarms of heterogeneous aircraft. Build collaborative, resilient interfaces for telemetry, sensor data, scheduling, crew resources, and data-link management during intermittent communications. Establish frontend standards, mentor engineers, and deliver performance-sensitive applications with strong CI/CD, QA, and DevSecOps practices.

Develop and optimize detection, tracking, and multi-sensor fusion algorithms (Kalman/particle filters, multi-target tracking) for resource-constrained UAVs. Train and deploy neural networks for ATR, design distributed swarm fusion, validate against flight data and simulation, and optimize models for real-time edge inference. Travel up to 25% for tests.

Develop on-vehicle and simulation software across the autonomy stack: planning behaviors, sensor and payload integration, embedded/vehicle platforms, realistic UxS simulation, and electronics prototyping. Ensure reliable, testable code and support onsite test/integration events (up to 25% travel).

Define and own autonomy architecture for large-scale UAV swarms: design perception, planning, control, and inter-robot/C2 protocols; make system tradeoffs; mentor engineers; write production-quality code; support test events (up to 25% travel).

Embed with U.S. government and military customers to deploy, integrate, debug, and maintain C2 software in austere operational environments. Build integrations, troubleshoot distributed systems, contribute to core services, support on-call and nonstandard hours, and travel extensively to ensure mission reliability and deliver field-driven product improvements.

Lead and own Legion's software roadmap, architecture, and delivery across autonomy, mission/C2, full-stack and field-deployed engineering. Build and scale the software organization, define technical standards for real-time and multi-agent systems, drive engineering execution, recruit talent, establish field feedback loops, interface with customers and investors, and adopt frontier AI tools to improve system performance and reliability.

Design and build the Command & Control frontend and full-stack features for large heterogeneous UAV swarms. Develop distributed, real-time infrastructure tolerant of intermittent communications, implement UI concepts for telemetry, sensors, scheduling and data links, own features end-to-end, and maintain strong CI/CD, QA, and DevSecOps practices.

Embed with U.S. government and military customers to deploy, debug, and maintain C2 software in austere operational environments. Build integrations, troubleshoot distributed systems, contribute to core services, write full-stack code, support on-call operations, and travel internationally to ensure mission-ready reliability.
