Phase 1 - Based on a real need, am currently building an iOS / ASP.NET based mobile application for a prestigious school competition in California. I plan to implement this for the next event in about 6 months, and take it across the United States thereafter. 
Phase 2 - Using this as a foundation, I intend to further extend functionality to build a web and mobile platform to enable users create their "own", personalized, unique mobile app for a event they plan to host. 
Currently there is no easy, cost-efficient way for one to create such a mobile app. 
These can be offered on a tiered pricing model - for individual users, small event users and larger corporate events. 
Phase 3 - Based on user feedback, I intent to include social networking, analytics, instant feedback, messaging, photo upload, location and other such features.
