Teams at Solar Turbines

Provide manufacturing engineering support for turbomachinery component production: develop manufacturing plans, design tooling/fixtures, implement inspection (3D scan/CMM), lead quality investigations using SPC/GR&R/Cpk, support new product manufacturability, implement MES, and identify automation/AI improvements.

Lead and execute manufacturing projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and develop/optimize CNC programs to meet production, quality, and delivery goals. Troubleshoot machining/process issues, support process validation and continuous improvement, and communicate status and risks to stakeholders.

Set up and operate OD/ID gear grinding machines to correct geometry on shafts, splines, and gears. Use precision instruments and optical equipment, dress and balance wheels, inspect and document finished parts, follow EH&S procedures, and perform related gear machining tasks.
