Teams at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM)

Coordinates operational, documentation, manufacturer communication, product development, and FF&E support for SOM’s global Product Design practice. Maintains project records, furniture specifications, digital libraries, Revit content, product databases, samples, and manufacturer documentation. Supports custom and licensed furniture initiatives from concept through implementation, including design reviews, prototypes, launches, project research, and multidisciplinary team coordination.

Manage and develop structural BIM models and drawings, collaborate with engineers to update Revit data and schedules, guide junior BIM staff, produce CAD deliverables, implement firmwide BIM and graphic standards, and identify workflow improvements. May use Tekla, Navisworks, Rhino, Grasshopper and Dynamo as needed.

Lead interdisciplinary architectural project teams to deliver design, technical, financial, and contractual project success. Manage client agreements, schedules, budgets, billing, risk, and team leadership. Chair meetings, maintain project records, mentor staff, support business development, and ensure compliance with sustainability and firm standards. Prepare and monitor project plans, financial performance, and sub-consultant agreements.
