Teams at Shawmut Design and Construction

Leads multiple hospitality renovation project teams, overseeing staffing, schedules, safety, quality, budgets, procurement, financial performance, client relationships, documentation, change orders, and closeout. Coaches project management staff and coordinates with hotel clients, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and other partners. The role requires extensive commercial construction project management experience and proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction project or accounting systems.

Manages safety across construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Establishes site safety expectations, develops project-specific programs, trains employees and subcontractors, conducts safety audits, investigates hazards, reviews regulatory requirements, and communicates risk mitigation plans to owners and project teams. Oversees safety orientations and training covering OSHA standards, fall protection, confined spaces, excavation, trenching, first aid, and accident prevention.

Leads large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, managing project teams, budgets, schedules, financial controls, constructability, client relationships, subcontractors, and project delivery. The role oversees complex ground-up, tenant improvement, renovation, and mission-critical life science projects, including projects valued at $50 million or more, while developing staff and maintaining profitability.
