Support and lead continuous improvement and sustaining activities for Light Adjustable Lens and insertion device manufacturing. Troubleshoot equipment, execute IQ/OQ/PQ validations to ISO 13485/FDA standards, create documentation and training, perform diagnostics and repairs, and collaborate with Design, Quality, and Production to maintain regulatory-compliant, efficient production processes.

Supervise day-to-day R&D cleanroom operations and staff, plan and schedule activities, train and appraise technicians, manage cleanroom inventory and preventive maintenance, maintain audit-ready records and molding data, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Chemistry.

Perform complaint investigations and post-market engineering analyses for ophthalmic implants and instruments. Execute bench testing, root cause analysis, risk assessments, and documentation to support regulatory compliance, patient safety, CAPAs, and continuous product improvement. Collaborate cross-functionally and assist with audits, metrics, and procedure development.

Lead quality engineering for manufacturing of ophthalmic medical devices, supporting design, production, validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), failure investigations, CAPA, audits, documentation, and continuous improvement using risk-based and statistical methods to ensure regulatory compliance and product safety.

Senior technical leader responsible for translating R&D designs into robust, scalable manufacturing for IOLs and accessories. Owns DFM, process development, scale-up, technology transfer, SPC/DOE-driven problem solving, and leads a lean hands-on MS&T team to improve yield, reduce scrap/COGS, and ensure regulatory-compliant validated processes.

Lead commercialization strategy and cross-functional launch readiness for the Light Adjustable Lens platform. Translate product intent into market requirements, define positioning and commercial guardrails, drive VOC synthesis, provide forecasting inputs, and coordinate launch governance with Sales, Marketing, Professional Education, FP&A, and Supply Chain to achieve adoption and revenue targets.

Support post-market surveillance and regulatory compliance for an adjustable intraocular lens by intake, documenting, investigating, and reporting customer complaints; determine reportability per FDA and international regulations; prepare and submit regulatory reports; support CAPAs, audits, metrics, and procedure updates; collaborate cross-functionally and mentor new team members.

Process weekly and semi-monthly multistate payroll, support equity compensation administration (RSUs, options, ESPP), reconcile payroll and equity systems, develop pivot-based reporting and dashboards, drive automation and process improvements, assist year-end W-2 validation, and support audits and cross-functional alignment with HR, Accounting, and Finance.
