Supports mechanical engineering teams in developing spacecraft concepts and hardware, building and testing designs for extreme space environments, and delivering tested hardware for spacecraft integration. The intern works with mentors and cross-functional teams, applies engineering concepts to real challenges, provides progress updates, and develops technical and professional skills through projects, training, and collaboration.

Supports mechanical engineering teams in developing, designing, building, and testing spacecraft hardware. Works with mentors and cross-functional teams to solve engineering challenges, improve technical capabilities, and deliver tested hardware for spacecraft integration. The internship is full-time and on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks in Long Beach, California, beginning in early 2027.

Develop and test embedded flight software for spacecraft using RTOS and embedded Linux. Responsibilities include writing hardware drivers, unit testing within continuous integration, hardware-in-the-loop validation, requirements development, code reviews, design reviews, and supporting on-orbit flight operations. The role requires C and C++, embedded software experience, and a Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
