Lead the engineering function by setting technical direction, building the team, architecting customer and internal systems, and remaining hands-on with software development. Collaborate with sales, operations, finance, and production teams to digitize workflows. Improve reliability, security, and observability while overseeing data infrastructure and applied machine learning. The role is approximately 70% hands-on engineering and 30% team management, with travel to customer and vendor sites up to 20% of the time.

Build and ship AI-enabled software across internal sales tools, client products, and reusable agent components. Scope ambiguous problems, deliver production features with limited oversight, generalize tooling, and collaborate with platform engineering leadership. The role requires taking AI applications beyond prototypes, working directly with clients and stakeholders, applying broad full-stack skills, validating AI-generated code, and communicating effectively. Occasional travel for client kickoffs is required.

Own the spacecraft electrical power subsystem, including generation, conditioning, distribution, batteries, and high-voltage hardware. Design and validate power circuitry for orbital environments, addressing vacuum breakdown, plasma, charging, radiation, thermal-vacuum, and EMI/EMC concerns. Advance hardware from breadboards and prototypes through schematic capture, PCB layout, testing, integration, qualification, and flight readiness. Monitor battery health, ensure vehicle-wide electrical compatibility, and lead structured design reviews and qualification programs.
