Senior in-house counsel responsible for public company governance, SEC reporting, securities compliance, M&A, capital markets (including catastrophe bonds/ILS), corporate insurance law, and public company litigation. Leads transactions, manages outside counsel, advises C-suite and Board, oversees contracts and regulatory issues, and mentors junior lawyers.

Perform month-end close tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, P&L analysis, and bordereaux review. Support financial reporting, audit requests, variance analysis, process improvements, cross-functional issue resolution, and ad hoc projects.

Support quarterly reserve analysis using Arius, including data preparation, diagnostics, and IBNR estimation. Segment losses by coverage and tail, surface claims signals, provide reinsurance analytics, improve claims integration and data quality, and lead research, process improvements, and tooling to support reserving and pricing collaboration.

Drive growth by prospecting and building relationships with crop insurance agents, farmers, and agribusinesses. Recommend and sell crop insurance products, manage proposal and onboarding processes, maintain CRM records, report sales performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and travel extensively within the region (up to 70%).
