Process high-volume accounts payable transactions, including invoice coding, vendor updates, payment processing, reconciliations, 1099 preparation, journal entries, cash reporting, and month-end close support. Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies, maintain AP records, monitor the AP mailbox, support vendor reviews and escheatment activities, and assist with accounting projects. The role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Supports reserving, actuarial and statistical reporting, reinsurance and pricing evaluations, program reviews, new business analysis, and data development projects. The role uses actuarial tools and insurance data to improve analytical capabilities and support data-driven decisions. Candidates should have passed at least one actuarial exam and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with familiarity in Excel, SQL, Python, or R.

Chief of Staff to the Chief Actuarial Officer, responsible for strategic planning, business analysis, executive communications, cross-functional project leadership, governance, and operational execution. The role coordinates actuarial priorities, monitors initiatives, prepares executive and board materials, supports planning and organizational change, and serves as a liaison across departments. It requires strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, plus experience supporting executives and leading enterprise initiatives.

Nine-week hybrid summer internship offering college students hands-on experience across Palomar’s insurance departments, including business operations, underwriting, investments, legal, claims, reinsurance, finance, accounting, and crop insurance. Interns collaborate with teams, complete analytical and strategic assignments, attend professional development workshops, receive leadership guidance, and present a final internship project. Participants must work in the office at least three days per week.

Nine-week hybrid technical internship supporting data analytics, business intelligence, product management, software engineering, automation, and technology operations. Interns may develop and maintain reports, dashboards, data models, or product features; assist with automation and process improvement; perform data validation and analysis; document technical processes; collaborate with technical teams; and present project findings. Applicants must be enrolled college students, available for at least eight weeks, and able to work in the office at least three days per week.
