Supports the Human Resources team by screening applicants, scheduling interviews, coordinating intern and volunteer onboarding and offboarding, maintaining confidential paperwork, and assisting with HR projects. The remote intern collaborates with HR leadership through Zoom and Slack, attends at least one weekly meeting, and is preferred to commit 10 hours weekly for six months.

Creates advertisements, book covers, infographics, logos, flyers, and video graphics while collaborating with media, marketing, and other departments. Communicates with leadership about layouts, content, timelines, and design concepts. The role is remote, requires independent deadline management and regular team meetings, and supports ONC’s nonpartisan media and community mission.

Plans and coordinates speaker series, campus events, networking opportunities, and college chapters. Responsibilities include outreach to speakers, mentors, advisors, clubs, and campuses; scheduling event logistics; updating Eventbrite and Zoom; coordinating remotely; and tracking deliverables, milestones, and deadlines.

Assists with producing short- and long-form video content, including podcasts, debates, and educational media. Edits multiple MP4 files into cohesive pieces, creates visual assets, suggests content and engagement strategies, and meets deadlines. Collaborates remotely with the video production team and other staff through Slack, email, and Zoom while contributing ideas for editing, graphic design, audience targeting, and promotion.

Creates and publishes social media content across multiple platforms, monitors trends, supports content calendars, engages online communities, analyzes weekly performance data, and recommends strategy adjustments. The intern collaborates remotely with the social media team, attends recurring meetings, communicates consistently, and helps promote nonpartisan news and policy discussions.

Edit and fact-check written content for grammar, style, and accuracy; uphold nonpartisan standards; coordinate with writers and editorial leads; attend regular team meetings; possibly learn website backend and approve submissions. Remote, semester-long unpaid internship focused on editorial quality and communication.

Produce nonpartisan political content (OpEds, policy proposals) for the outlet, collaborate with editors, maintain ideological balance, participate in occasional podcasts/events, and meet remote deadlines.

Support fundraising and business development by researching and drafting grants, assisting crowdfunding and donor outreach, preparing campaign materials, and researching fundraising best practices. Work remotely, manage deadlines independently, and attend weekly organization and department meetings.

Write high-quality opinion pieces and policy proposals for ONC, support nonpartisan civil debate, attend mandatory weekly content meetings, participate in podcasts/events as needed, and coordinate remotely via Zoom and Slack. A writing sample is required. This is an unpaid remote internship for U.S.-authorized candidates.
