Create precise 3D CAD models, assembly drawings, part drawings, and bills of material for airborne optical and optoelectrical hardware. Perform tolerance analyses, select materials, and translate optical requirements into manufacturable mechanical designs. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and suppliers; support prototypes, fit checks, integration, troubleshooting, drawing releases, revision control, and configuration updates.

Designs, analyzes, integrates, and qualifies precision optomechanical assemblies and optical payloads for space and airborne platforms. Responsibilities include optomechanical architecture, STOP analysis, tolerance analysis, GD&T, FEA, alignment, metrology, environmental testing, manufacturing documentation, vendor coordination, and technical leadership. The role owns designs from concept through flight hardware and requires hands-on integration, testing, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship.

Develop and maintain embedded firmware, device drivers, and hardware-control interfaces for airborne and spaceborne sensing payloads. Support board bring-up, peripheral integration, command and telemetry, timing, fault handling, automated testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, qualification, and flight operations. Diagnose hardware and firmware issues using instrumentation and test data, document root causes, and deliver reliable, traceable firmware releases.
