Serve as the subject matter expert for innovation and experimentation in the Plan-to-Produce process. Lead the VCO innovation portfolio from discovery through pilots, evaluate emerging technologies, frame and assess opportunities, run prototypes and proofs-of-concept, and guide transition to implementation. Act as an internal consultant across functions, establish experimentation standards, and lead cross-functional initiatives to drive measurable business value and transformation.

Provide mechanical and technical support for refinery operating area; develop and manage engineering and construction projects from scope and estimates through commissioning; review equipment and vendor drawings; support MOC, PHAs, HAZOPs, incident investigations, and temporary repairs to ensure safety and compliance.

Provide instrumentation engineering support for refinery process areas and projects from concept through construction and start-up. Manage instrument-focused projects, perform instrument specification and design, support commissioning/FAT-SAT, maintain P&IDs and loop drawings, support SIS/LOPA and process analyzer activities, coordinate with stakeholders and external consultants, and support turnarounds and safety compliance.

Lead end-to-end APC/MPC lifecycle for refinery units: identify and justify opportunities, design and commission controllers, develop dynamic models and inferential sensors, track KPIs and economic benefits, mentor engineers, support startups/turnarounds, and coordinate control system upgrades and sustainment with Operations, Planning, and OT teams.
