Provides educational leadership and specialized instruction support for middle and high school students with special needs. Responsibilities include coordinating special education integration, curriculum development, program evaluation, IEP-related processes, staff development, student records, specialized materials, family and community engagement, and compliance with educational policies and legal requirements. The role also supports school improvement initiatives, interviews special education instructional candidates, and communicates current research and best practices to school staff and stakeholders.

Supports special education teachers and students with disabilities through instructional assistance, personal care, mobility support, behavior management, crisis intervention, classroom organization, and supervision. Helps implement individualized educational and behavioral programs while maintaining student confidentiality and safety. The role may require lifting, transferring, positioning, assisting with hygiene and feeding, and completing specialized behavioral intervention training.

Coordinates Magnolia Public Schools’ special education, 504, and gifted education programs. Responsibilities include monitoring SELPA and IEP compliance, tracking services and student plans, supporting school-site meetings, coordinating assessments and speech services, training staff on UDL and accommodations, developing curriculum, overseeing data and billing programs, managing partnerships, and facilitating collaboration among staff, families, and community stakeholders.
