Build and own automated photonic integrated circuit test stations from wafer through module level. Develop Python-based instrument-control software, data pipelines, and reusable test frameworks; integrate free-space optical testbeds; characterize photonic and electro-optic devices; establish design-for-test and statistical process-control standards; support radiation, thermal-vacuum, and production testing; and mentor engineers and technicians.

Own the architecture and integration of Type-1 cryptographic systems across spacecraft, payload, and ground segments. Design encryption, key management, and key-loading solutions for command, telemetry, and mission data; integrate crypto across flight software, avionics, FPGA, RF, and ground systems. Lead designs through testing and certification, establish scalable standards, mitigate system risks, and troubleshoot fielded and on-orbit systems while supporting NSA certification.

Design and develop high-speed mixed-signal electronics for spacecraft, including architecture, component selection, PCBA design, board bring-up, debugging, and environmental qualification. Integrate electronics into spacecraft systems, operate hardware in flight, and develop test equipment, development boards, and test scripts. The role focuses initially on core compute electronics for K2’s Mega Class satellite and includes testing for vibration, shock, thermal, thermal vacuum, radiation, and EMI/EMC conditions.
